THOU HYPOCRITE! Hypocrisy and the Jezebel Spirit THE DIPTYCH - Part 1 I n this article, I want to deal with the Jezebel Spirit” in relation to hypocrisy. My DVD teachings will also be available under the same title: “Thou Hypocrite.” Before I start my study, I want to address the complaints we receive (most often from “Christians”) that we’re just too aggressive, hateful, we express our teachings/preaching in a worldly manner (music, graphics, violence, etc.) Allow me to point out that the Bible does just that. When I started out writing against and engaging in the WAR against the Big 4 (see Eph. 6:10-17), the Lord had me to do a series of comic-style booklets called “Son of Dominion”. I had to write the stories and do the graphics as I went along. This was in 1981-1982. The Lord was beginning to teach us spiritual warfare. We were engaged in deliverance work at the time in Sacramento, California (casting out demons). In doing this dirty (but needed!) work, I put in print/pictures what we were learning. In all that followed (years till now) we engaged the enemy/enemies of God’s purposes - TO DESTROY His name and DESTROY His work whenever and wherever possible. One main demon spirit was “Jezebel” - a nasty demon that usually manifested (but not always) in women, Church women (but found in worldly women too). I can testify in truth that females have been our personal enemies (my wife and myself) and they have been ACMTC’s personal enemy...HATING with murderous intent to DESTROY this prophetic ministry that the Holy Spirit commissioned way back in 1980 (as a “house church”). So, we learned early in our Christian walk that demons are real (we have been saved since 1971, done missionary work in Mexico and other parts of the U.S.). But from 1980 till now, the WARFARE for souls (ours included!) has not lessened, but intensified. With this short background, you’ll understand WHY we are aggressive/radical, militant (the sword of the Lord is our weapon along with other articles found in Ephesians chapter 6). You see, if you are a dull and worldly Churchite, you may not understand all this; this is why the Church is DEFEATED and DEFILED ... filled with all manner of sins and has become politically correct. Oh, demons love this !!! NO FIGHT, JUST FRIGHT! This in turn has turned the Church into a sort of birthing center for hypocrites: actors. Before I delve into our study on “hypocrite”, let me say that because we use graphics or photos, music, violence/sex/etc. this is not to say we endorse any of it. In fact we despise it. But back to my original thought about my “Son of Dominion” booklets ( 3 times larger than the Chick tracts and many more pages - our first printing was 100,0000, (I did 10 in all). The Spirit spoke to me and told me that we live in a visual/graphic age so do the booklets very graphic. Even words are graphic. The Bible, my inspiration, is very graphic. It is not time to portray Jesus as a passive wimp (or effeminate/homo!) holding a lamb in His arms. To omit His aggressive/militant/radical /revolutionary side is totally unfair. We live in an age of demon-infestation and the demon activity has increased to the point of ISIS Crisis and “Pink Jihad” worldwide. Churches are being destroyed by demon spirits and Churchgoers are being demonized daily. The Word of God is being watered down, even denied. The Holy Spirit has evacuated most churches long ago...Jezebel and other demon-spirit have taken over...ACTING like saints but are in reality demon-spirits from HELL. SOME OBJECT! Some (well, many!) object to my use of certain graphics in the sexual realm. Again, I do not do this to provoke any kind of lust or endorsement of what the Bible prohibits, e.g., homosexuality and the whole GLBTQ sick mess, nor any thing found in the heterosexual camp - adultery, fornication, etc (see our many booklets/tracts/magazines/DVDs on all this). Dumb Churchites (which are covered with the covering of the world itself!) accuse me of being dirty-minded, worse, actually guilty of sex-sins themselves. Well, for your information, go to the Bible itself, see for yourselves where I get the graphics (words portray deeds) and language. You’ll find every sex-sin listed and prohibited. But to use certain Bible passages to drive a point home is permissible. Can you imagine seeing 200 foreskins of the Philistines in a basket? Well, it is portrayed in the Bible: 1 Sam 18. This little prize (the basket of chopped penises) was given to King Saul’s daughter Michal. What about that brutal homo rape job we find in Judges 19? The sickos of Gibeah, sons of Belial (Satan!) Took a concubine (they were refused a man whom they wanted to sodomize!!)...“and brought her forth and they had sex with her, and ABUSED her ALL THE NIGHT...” This female was “raped to death”. I could give dozens and dozens of passages of sex-violence and sex-sins that are found in the Bible. Can you imagine God spreading feces on the faces of His priests, because they were rebellious in heart? Well Malachi Chapter 2 gives us a graphic view of just that! (2:3)... And God giving hemorrhoids as a punishment?... beautiful descriptions of “love-making” (Solomon!)... slaughter of innocent women, babes, even fetuses murdered (see Isa. 13; God causes women to boil and eat their own children (see Lev. 26, Deut 28 and Jer 19; Lam 2; Ezek 5; 2 Kings 6, etc); God orders King Saul to kill suckling babes (see 1 Sam 15); a dagger stuck into a FAT king whereas feces came out (see Judg 8); a hammer and nail murder by a woman (see Judg.4); where Tamar plays the whore to have sex with her father-in-law (see Gen.38); where death is decreed for adultery, homosexuality and bestiality (see Lev 18 and 20); where a woman tries to rape a young man (boy) (see Gen. 39). I could give plenty more graphic pictures (in words) that are sexually sick and murderous. And I do not believe for a moment that the (holy) authors had anything evil in mind when they penned such things we find in THE BIBLE. In fact, it was God’s inspiration, not their own, that caused them, moved them to write (see 2 Tim. 3:16, 17). If a new Bible was to be written today, we would find things mentioned of our era. So to portray definitions of the obscene, lewd, lustful, indecent, is not anti-Bible. I realize, one can go too far. We need to keep things from getting out of hand, which we try to do. But to describe things (in music/pictures/acting/etc) that are grossly repugnant, disgusting, revolting/offensive is not being “worldly” as we’re accused of. We do this, as does the Holy Bible, to SHOCK the readers when a SHOCK (or a kick in the butt!) is needed. We can’t live in a Church la la land of niceties. Realize, the forces behind all these gross things is Satan and his vile demons. HE IS REAL! They are real! It is time for God’s people to get REAL! One could say that the Bible is pornographic, violent, even depraved. Say what you will, God does not hide such things from us. While there is a measure of obscenity in the Bible, it has plenty of holy admonitions and instructions ...guidance, which tells us HOW to gain Eternal life (Heaven) and MISS HELL!! By ignoring the BAD/UGLY and only dealing with the GOOD, one will certainly become unbalanced. Not that we’re to dwell mainly on the BAD/UGLY, but the bad and ugly are all part of this life! We must learn how to deal with them, hence, spiritual warfare. We can’t keep the scandalous Scriptures hidden, clothed in secrecy. The things found in the Bible are manifest in every country, in every person one way or the other. Truth, even ugly truth, needs to prevail. I mean, exposed as demon-inspired. There is no evil in the Holy God, only in unholy men (and demons), God’s Word uses such graphic descriptions for the reader to come face-to-face with the issues that both DAMN and BLESS; things to stay away from and things to embrace. In one sense, the Bible could (and has been) the x-rated Book. PAUL (Acts 17:28; 1 Cor. 15:33; Titus 1:12) Paul uses extra-Biblical words for his own purpose in order to teach, a pure, personal, spiritual theism in Acts 17:28. (Our critics accuse us of using worldly things to make points). Here, Paul quotes outside the Old Testament, from a poem of Aratus, a countryman of the apostle, and his predecessor about 3 centuries. But, as he hints, the same sentiment is to be found in other poets: “For in him we live, and move, and have our being, as certain also of your own poets have said, for we are also his offspring” (Acts 17:28). Here, Paul quotes pagans to make a point: “In him we live and move and have our being”, these words are attributed to Epimenides, the semi-mythical Cretan ( note on v. 23): “To an unknown god” - There is no evidence of the existence of any such inscription in the singular number. Eduard Norden (Agnostos Theos (Leipzig and Berlin: B.G. Teubner, 1913) argues that our author has simply borrowed the idea out of a lost book entitled Concerning Sacrifices, which Philostratus attributes to Apollonius of Tyana; in it the religiosity of the Athenians is illustration by their erection of altars “of unknown demons” (Philostratus Life of Apollonius of Tyana VI. 3.5). This seems most improbable. On the other hand Pausanias bears witness to the existence of altars to “unknown gods” on the road from Phalerum to Athens and also at Olympia (Description of Greece I, 1.4; V. 14.8), and an altar of the second century has been found at Pergamum, the inscription of which may possibly be reconstructed in the same terms (see Adolf Deissmann, Paul [London: Hoddern & Stoughton, 1926], pp.287-91). Though we know of no altar or any one deity specially called “the unknown god,” Diogenes Laertius (I.110) tells how during a plague Epimenides the Cretan instructed the Athenians to let loose black and white sheep on the Aeropagus, and, wherever they lay down, to sacrifice to “the appropriate god”, i.e., the unknown god who was concerned in the matter. It is just possible that it was some such altar that Paul observed, and that “to an unknown god” is Luke’s not quite accurate paraphrase. It is believed that Luke (who wrote Acts) has simply given the polytheistic inscription a monotheistic turn to serve the purpose of his argument. The RSV reads, “To an unknown god”. What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you”. Jesus said, “You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews”. For the idea that apart from revelations even the pagans are driven by an inward urge to actions which only revelations can make intelligible (see Paul’s argument in Rom. 2:14-16). The second quotation, “For we are indeed his offspring”, is from the Phaenomena of Aratus, who born in 310 BC and hailed from Soli in Cilicia, Paul’s own country. No doubt it was a stock quotation in stoic circles. But is Paul likely to have spoken thus in terms of Stoic pantheism? Scholars believe that such passages as 1 Cor. 15: 47-50 would rather suggest that he did not think of unredeemed men as being possessed “by nature” of a kinship to God, but rather draw a sharp contrast between man’s fleshly nature and the spiritual nature of the Divine Being. However this is viewed, Paul uses pagan poets to make his point: to teach Theism. Again, in 1Cor. 15:33, we find the apostle quoting a pagan: “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners”. This quote is from Menander’s comedy, “Thois”. Menander was an author rich in practical wisdom. It was a proverbial expression which he may have heard without even having read the play. It is a genuine Greek quotation.What was Paul’s reason for quoting a Greek pagan? He was showing us that hanging around with evil people corrupts. This is my point in using certain “worldly” things, to contrast the “good” from the “bad”. Paul makes his point CLEAR: “Awake to righteousness, and sin not.” (v.34). The RSV uses the phrase, “Come to your right mind, and sin no more”. Paul was dealing with men who doubted the resurrection - by his graphic allusions to perils, to the bestial practices of the times (our times = GLTBQ favoritism, pro-political correctness, pro-prosperity (Lust for $$, etc.). We need to, as Paul did, remind the sinners of what awaits them and remind the “sinning saints” of the moral morass from which they have been delivered from, and of the glorious liberating and enabling conceptions which mark the Christian faith. Look at the UNGODLY MESS called “the Church” today. Sin has contaminated the WHOLE body of Christ, therefore these “things” called “Christian” have become a BAD influence on others who need Christ’s salvation. The Church has lowered its godly standard, so low it touches HELL itself! Now she has full-blown homosexuals, lesbians and transgenders behind pulpits... examples of gross, loose, vile practices which inevitably causes the standards to go even lower. So subtle is the process that who even notices? We here notice! Some in Paul’s day did not believe in sin-consequence - they lived for the moment. Death will befall all and Hell/Lake of fire awaits the unrepentant. TITUS 1:12 Paul uses yet another pagan quote to make a point: “One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, ‘the Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, slow bellies’” (Titus 1:12). This verse aggressively attacks the Cretan heretics. Paul quotes their prophet who calls his own countrymen liars, evil beasts, and lazy gluttons. Some believe this quote is from Epimenides of Cnossos, a half-mythical 6th Century Greek, variously described as poet, prophet (see Aristotle Rhetoric III. 17.10; Cicero Divination I. 18, 34), religious reformer to whom the Cretans offered sacrifices (see Diogenes Laertius Lives of Eminent Philosophers! II), one of the seven sages (Plutarch Solon XII, and the reputed author of a body of literature extant in the first Century). Although some Greeks held that Epimenides lives 154 or 157 years, the Cretans extended it to 299. The reason this Greek prophet/poet called the Cretans “liars” is because they claimed to have the tomb of Zeus among them, whereas his devotees said he was not dead but alive and resurrected. Cicero declared that the Greeks had a genius for lying (see Letters to Quintus 1.2.4). A Greek proverb said that the three peoples whose names begins with “C”, the Cretans, the Cappadocians and the Cilicians, were the worst “C’s”. Just as “to Corinthianize” in Greek meant to live dissolutely, to “Cretize” meant to lie and deceive. What was Paul’s intent of quoting a PAGAN? He was contrasting those “...vain talkers and deceivers (esp. the circumcision = “religious”).... who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre ($$) sake” (vv. 10, 11). Paul could very well be describing today’s Church leadership. CONTRASTS All through the Bible the authors use contrasts to make points; good/evil, light/darkness, real/false. Life/death. Stand/fall, etc (see Isa. 45:7, where God says, “I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things”). The Word of God uses hyperbolic language as well as metaphors. A hyperbole is a form of exaggeration for effect and not meant to be taken literally. A metaphor is a figure of speech containing an implied comparison, in which a word or phrase ordinarily and primarily used of one thing is applied to another. I can rightly say that Jezebel is “prophet killer”, Jezebel is “wickedness” etc. Take Matthew 3:5; “Then went out to him (John the Baptist) Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan (v. 5), and were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins” (v. 6). Here is hyperbolic language - ALL! Jerusalem, Judaea, and the region around Jordan =ALL went and got baptized by John. Do we believe that EVERY person- man/boy, woman/girl, infants, ALL got baptized?... leaving their homes and ALL going out to the river Jordan? Is the Bible telling a fib here? NO!! We could go through the whole Bible and pick out such statements where hyperbolic language is used. The word “all” - in every passage must be understood in either a “limited” or “absolute” sense. The context usually shows to what extent “‘all” is limited to a part. The word “all”in Scripture is seldom used in the “absolute” sense as including everything or everybody. Acts 3:21 says, “whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of ALL things...’ Here it means that ALL creation that submits to the plan of God. It EXCLUDES the rebels who will be punished forever in the lake that burns with fire. So, the (false) idea that some believe and teach that ALL will eventually go to Heaven, is a LIE!! The ALL does not include unrepentant sinners. PRICE TO BE PAID! Paul in 1 Cor 6:13, uses another illustration to make a point: “Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats...” Here Paul returns to the question of standards of sexual conduct (vv 12-20). It is a question which, at one time, raised the whole issue of the nature of Christian freedom, but today has been almost entirely abandoned. Just about every kind of sexual conduct is acceptable/permissible by today’s Church. The RSV puts their (Gnostic libertines) slogans in quotation marks in order to make the difference of the speakers clear. Behind the slogan “all things are lawful” (KJV v.12) is the assumption that physical acts do not affect the inner man. Paul asserts on the contrary! He knows, as we SHOULD that sin can be the most inexorable master (see Rom. 6:12). True Christian freedom lies in the choice of our Master. The “food” issue here is not introduced because of some Jewish dietary regulations, rather, that Gnostic libertines had used the argument on the fact that food did not raise a moral issue to support their contention. But “sexual” conduct also had no moral significance, ( see Jesus’ take on food in Mark 7:18, 19). But Paul denies that there is a parallelism and rejects the conclusion that the unregulated satisfaction of “sexual” desires is simply natural. At the back of Paul’s mind, scholars believe there was also the Greek conception of temperance and that “virtue” is discussed in a book like Plato’s Republic. There, temperance is described as the control of appetite by reason. In effect, we believe, Paul is pleading for a life disciplined by “moral” bonds in God’s Spirit, which is nearly absent in today’s Church. BEHOLD: THE HYPOCRITE In this study of “hypocrite” and “Jezebel”, there is also a corresponding or complementary “spirit” to Jezebel which we call the “Ahab spirit”. This spirit also brings destruction of the family and, in the case of King Ahab, the nation of Israel itself. The story of Ahab and Jezebel is classic: the wicked female dominates and controls the male. I believe in true godly women in the ministry. I have championed women’s (Christian) rights for years (see my lengthy articles on our web called “Women in the Ministry”). But on the other hand, I denounce, as does the Word of God, ungodly women ruling in the Church (or in the home, etc.). ὑποκρίνομαι—ὑποκριτης In all classical usage, our first Greek word never became a term with a negative ethical ring and our second Greek word alone cannot denote the “hypocrite” but remains, as Greek scholars say, vox media. The words always have additions which show whether the ACTING or PRETENDING is in a given case to be viewed positively, negatively, or neutrally. It is said that only in Byzantine period does the word group acquire a direct negative sense under the influence of Christian usage. The verb - ὑποκρίνομαι - probably had the original sense “to explain”, “to interpret”, which is kept on into the Hellenistic period. (I could cite many names and dates here, but most readers won’t care where all this information is found, so I limit my notes to save space/time). The noun - ὑπόκρισις - thus means (only in Ionic) “answer”. It is pointed out that the woman agents is - ὑποκριτης - usually always means “actor”, probably derives from the original sense “to expound”, “to interpret”, rather than “to answer”. So, in our findings, the “actor” is originally either an interpreter of the poet (as in Plato’s (of Athens) Republica, II, 373b where the actor is the speaker who through his interpretative words made intelligible the myth of which the songs of the chorus song, hence, songs (with music maybe) and drama to portray the poets’ words. In the Biblical sense, Prophets of God sometimes dramatize God’s words (many examples in Scripture: Jeremiah and the Potter’s house, Jeremiah 18; Jeremiah 13, where the prophet is told to take a linen girdle and hide it, etc). In Plato’s Timaeus (72b) where prophets are distinguished from mantics as the interpreters of their words and visions. In attic, our first word means “to act”. The actor’s job is to present the drama (or πρόσωπον) assigned to him by artistic reciting accompanied by mime and gestures. (Much could be cited here.) TRANSFERRED MEANING Our Greek words (for hypocrisy and hypocrite) can be found in many circles where that of human life with the stage and of conduct with the task of the actor (the main source is probably the Socratic School. Plato’s Philebus (50b) compares life to a drama as does Plato’s Leges (I, 644de; VII, 803c). In the negative sense, the stage is a SHAM world (like today!) and the actor/actors are deceivers!! Lucianus’ (of Samosata in Syria, 120-180 AD) Icaromenipp (or Icaromenippus, 29) compares FALSE philosophers to actors whose mask and fine costume have been stripped off and the true self that remains is seen. This is what God is doing in the earth today - He is bringing down the actors, the proud and haughty actors/pretenders who ACT “saintly” but in reality are “satanic”! He is doing this to individuals, groups of peoples and nations. God is SICK of those “religious” actors (and those of the world) who put on shows, live lives of pretext/pretense in order to take advantage of others. America has become ONE BIG PRETENSE! She “acts” oh, so virtuous but in reality (behind the mask) is VICE!!! Our Greek words show us the DECEPTIVE element (for hypocrisy/hypocrite is just that). This is the negative side of course. The original meaning meant mere acting, but come to mean “to deceive”. OLD TESTAMENT In the OT, we find Isaiah 32:6 saying: “For the vile person will speak villainy, and his heart, will work iniquity, to practice hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.” Here “choneph” (kho’-nef) means “moral filth”, i.e., “wickedness”. We conclude that the fear of God and hypocrisy are opposites. And part of wickedness is witchcraft - whom Jezebel practiced (see 2 Kings 9:22)-“...so long as the whoredoms of thy mother Jezebel and her witchcraft are so many?” This queen (Of whoredoms / witchcrafts) was a magnified hypocrite. She made herself out to be righteous (what she called “right”) but in reality was unrighteous (“wrong”). Both the OT Jezebel and the NT Jezebel were characterized by their CONTROL and FALSE teachings and the use of occult power. Each paraded her schemes under the cover of “religion” and “good” motives, i.e., religious pretensions of demonic forces. The OT Jezebel, with her wiles and witchcrafts, persuaded her husband, Ahab, to allow her to “usurp authority”in the kingdom of Israel. (See my article in the “Women in the Ministry” series on “usurp authority”, you might be surprised what this means!). Ahab, being dominated over by this Jezebel spirit, sold himself into her spiritual whoredom (see 1Kngs 21:4-10. 20, 25; 2 Kings 9:22). In Thyatira (NT), Jezebel was judged because her thoughts, feelings and purposes are declared WRONG in God’s sight (Rev 2:20-23 (Amp Bible). What we find in both of these wicked women is deception - turning others away from what is right into what is wrong. Psalms 2:2 says, “They speak vanity everyone with his neighbor: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak”. It is deception (δόλος) not to turn to the fear of God but to depart from it, a matter of the divided heart ( see also James 1:8 and 4:8). Job 36:13 says, “But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.” Let me quote the Amp. Bible on vv 13, 14: “But the godless and profane in heart heap up anger (at the divine discipline): they do not cry to Him when He binds them (with cords of affliction). They die in youth, and their life perishes among the unclean- those who are Sodomites.” (Homosexuals). It is ironic that God causes the dogs to eat Jezebel. “Dogs” are mentioned in Scriptures as the “unclean”: “There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel. Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog (sodomite/homosexual), into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are ABOMINATION unto the LORD THY God.” (Deut 24:17, 18). (See also Lev. 18 where these abominations are condemned and see cpt 20 where the death penalty is pronounced upon those who commit the acts!). The Hebrew for “dog” is “keleb (keh’-leb) = “dog”, hence (by euphemism) a male prostitute. The Arabs consider dogs to be unclean. There are 7 hadiths dealing with dogs in Islam. Muhammad gave orders to kill dogs (see Sahih Muslim’s Hadith 10, 3813). Do we really believe that hypocrites will be blessed of God? JOSEPHUS / PHILO (J/P) Both J/P use our Greek words in a negative sense. According to Philo’s De Confusione Linguarum (48), the unwise man is “a worse evil than death”, is “to conceal or dissemble the truth after the manner of theft”. Josephus 67,68 has a take on this. His take on our first Gk. Word — ὑποκρίνομαι — is more a matter of refined political or strategical action. I recall how Abraham palms off Sarah (his wife) as his sister before Pharaoh and Abimelech - kind of deception/hypocrisy (see Josephus Antiquitates, 1, 62, 207, 211). In Bellum’ Judaicum (1, 471) a deceitful role is played when, e.g. friendship is pretended (1, 318 and 516) in order to be able to work the better against the supposed friend. We can find many ways in which hypocrisy is manifested. Sickness, flight, treachery, false appearances etc...all playing the hypocrite. TWO-FACED Our two Greek words present to us a form of wrongdoing. In this respect there is no question of presenting a “righteous” appearance so that the true face of “evil” is disguised. Hence the translation “hypocrisy” is apt (but not with total conviction). What is better is the “deception” which characterizes evil as apostasy against God or opposition to Him. Some of these Jezebelian teachers/preachers of today are very two-faced. They live double lives. A good comparison would be today’s “facebook”, which I call “fake-book”. One female of late told us that she had over 3,000 F-B friends that she taught the Word of God to. Well, in reality, this lady is FAR from God and lives NOT a godly life. This is Jezebel at work. JEZEBEL Jezebel was the daughter of Ethbaal, and wife of Israel’s king, Ahab. She was mother of Ahaziah, Jehoram, and Athaliah (1 Kings 16:31). She was a cunning tyrant who corrupted Ahab, as well as the nation of Israel, by promoting pagan worship. She was reared in Sidon, a commercial city on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea known for its idolatry and vice. Ethbaal (Ithobaal) had, after a period of revolution and anarchy, seized (C.B.C.888) the throne of Tyre, which he occupied for more than 30 years. He was the first monarch of note who had reigned in Phoenecia since the days of Hiram, and his alliance was doubtless sought by Omri and Ahab in order to counterbalance the hostility of Damascus. The marriage, it is said, of Jezebel to Ahab (1 Kings 16:31) exercised a powerful influence upon the history of religion in Israel (10 northern tribes), and indirectly also in Judah (2 southern tribes), where Jezebel’s daughter, Athaliah, afterwards shared the throne with Jehoram (son of Jehoshaphat). The forbidden worship (by God) of the Tyrian “Baal” was now supported by all the court influence. Ahab’s allegiance was divided: he worshipped both Baal (or allowed it) and Jehovah. Ahab still consulted God’s prophets (1 Kgs 22:6). Elijah, the main prophet of Jehovah stood wholly for Jehovah, because He was (as the Bible declares) a “jealous God”. Therefore, there could be only ONE God tolerated in Israel. There had to be Jehovah and Jehovah only. PROPHETS PUT TO DEATH! The prophets of Jehovah were either put to the sword or driven into hiding (1 Kings 18:4). This drove Elijah to make his famous plea and statement to Jehovah, “...I, I only, am left, and they seek my life, to destroy it.” PROPHETS OF BAAL PUT TO DEATH! The account of Elijah killing over 400 Baal prophets is found in 1 Kings 18. This in turn angered Jezebel (1 Kgs 19:1,2), hence, the persecuting ZEAL of the wicked queen got underway. DARK STAIN IN ISRAEL Jezebel’s atrocious crime (deceitful and hypocritical), “she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent them to the elders and nobles who dwelt with Naboth in his city” - 1 Kgs 21:8. This Jezebelian atrocity was perpetrated in order to procure for Ahab the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite. The judicial MURDER sent a terrifying effect through all Israel. God sees and knows all! He sent Elijah to Ahab, after Naboth was falsely accused of denouncing Jehovah (21:10), resulting in cold-bloodied murder (v.13). Verse 18 we find the Prophet going to meet Ahab, after the crime was committed. It is here that Elijah gives his chilling prophecy! “...In the place where the dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick your blood, even yours” (v.19). This prophecy came true (22:34-38). JEZEBEL CARRIES ON! Jezebel survived Ahab (who fell in battle at Ramoth-Gilead (B.C. 853) some 10 years, and saw her two sons, Ahaziah and Jehoram, in succession seated upon the throne of Israel. The house of Omri was at length destroyed by Jehu, a Cavalry officer in the service of Jehoram, who treacherously slew both his master and Ahaziah, king of Judah (see 2Kgs 9:24). DARK TIDINGS When tidings of all these reached Jezebel, the aged witch prepared to meet death with dignity. We all know the sordid story: she attired herself, painted her eyes (no doubt to “charm” Jehu, who was to be her executioner, 2 Kgs 9:30) and met Jehu (v.31) and met her death (v.33). A banquet was held to celebrate this wicked queen’s death. So proud, hypocritical murderer of many, Jezebel was murdered (2 Kings 9:30-37) SECOND JEZEBEL The debate of Rev 2:20, “the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess (claiming to be inspired), and who is teaching and leading astray my (God’s) servants and beguiling them into practicing sexual vice and eating food sacrificed to idols” (see 1 Kgs 16:31; 2 Kgs 9:22, 30) is ongoing. Some believe that the leader of Thyatira was literally called “Jezebel”; others believe the name “Jezebel” must be understood symbolically and not as the real name of the woman against whom the denunciation is uttered. She, like the Jezebel of old, was wicked, although “acting” the part of “prophetess” (hearing from God). This spirit has plagued the church (Gk. Ekklesia) all along, be they male or female - the “spirit of Jezebel” is the same. The word makes it plain that this Jezebel taught and practiced immorality (symbolic of adultery and idolatry). I did a study on this kind of woman in which Paul in 1 Cor 14:34 (“The women should keep quiet in the churches...”) forbids women to teach or preach. But my study indicated CERTAIN kind of women, godly women being not forbidden. In 1 Tim 2:12, Paul again forbids, “... no woman to teach or to have authority over men...” But again my study led me to see that CERTAIN women were forbidden. Here, in 1 Tim 2:12- a “target” verse for women-hating preachers - a better rendering would be (literally in Greek), “to teach, on the contrary, to a woman I do not grant permission, and not authentein (Gk. For “to bear power over”, the KJV has, “to usurp authority over”) but to be in “silence” (this verse contains 3 infinitives: to teach, usurp, and to be.) One ought to consider WHAT was forbidden to be taught and WHO was teaching it. If one researches Rev. 2:20 - the Jezebel at Thyatira- we see that she taught “the deep things of Satan” (one translation). She instructed Christ’s servants “to fornicate and to eat things sacrificed to idols”. So, Jezebel was teaching Gnosticism. This is what Paul was forbidding. Some scholars conclude that Jezebel in this text (Rev. 20:20) is the priestess of the Chaldean Sibyl, “Sambethe”. Besides that, this “spirit of Jezebel” is alive and very active in today’s Church - this is why it is SO BACKSLIDDEN!! We must make a distinction here. There is nothing in the Gk tradition to suggest that an “evildoer” should always be rendered as “actor” ὑποκριτης, nor is there anything in the Hebrew expressions for “evildoer” to suggest his/her conduct be regarded as “acting”. We can rightly say that there are those who “act” like saints but in reality are devils! ONE OR TWO? I like what is found in the Jewish work, Testament of the Twelve Patriarch (from 2nd or 1st Cent. A.D.) B.6:4 (B=Benjamin): “A good mind does not have two speeches, one of blessing and one of cursing..., but only one speech”. (In Jesus Sirach 1:28 it uses, “divided heart”.) In our Bible we find in James 3:11-12 this: “Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? Can the fig tree bear olive berries? Either a vine, figs? So can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh”. “ The antithesis of TRUTH is DECEPTION (much is written about this in extra-Biblical literature). The evil spirit practices deception. In the Qumran sect, we find the doctrine of “two spirits” (see 1 QS 3:13 - 4:26). Here the spirit of wickedness fights the spirit of truth and his acts are “iniquity” and ‘falsehood”, “fraud” and “deceit”. These spirits are very active in today’s contemporary Church. Similarly, in the ancient Iranian tradition, we find the 2 spirits - “lying” and “truth” as the spirits of evil wickedness and obedient righteousness (see Yasna, 30, 3-5). It is interesting to note that the word “drug” (lying) is very common in the Gathos to denote evil in conflict with truth (Asa). In Indo-Iranian religion, lying is the “great moral evil” and as such it typifies the nature of the evil spirit and its representatives. It is said that for the deceitful element in lying is “hatred” and “hostitility” against the “good” and “truth”. In truth, we find this WAR in just about all cultures of the world. Actually, wicked/evil persons do not need to ACT but some ACT nice/good in order to deceive. JESUS ATTACKS Jesus attacks his opponents, chiding them as ὑποκριταί, because they can discern the signs which usually announce rain, but cannot discern “this time,” Luke 12:54-56. Prof. Ulrich Wilcken (of Hamburg, Germany) points out that these ὑποκριταί are not hypocrites because they dissemble hypocritically, but in view of their blatant contradiction between their sure δοκιμάζειν of signs of the weather and the tardy or absent δοκιμάζειν of the nearness of the Kingdom of God as limited in the preaching and acts of Jesus. That is his take. Similarly, Jesus censures the contradiction on the part of His opponents when they have no scruples about leading cattle to the water on the Sabbath but raise objections against Jesus healing on the Sabbath (Lk 13:15). This makes them hypocrites! I could cite many examples where Jesus attacks the “hypocrites”, especially in Matt. 23 where He uses “hypocrite” or “hypocrites” 8 times. In Mark 7:6, Jesus says, “Well hath Esaias prophesied of you (Isa 29:13) hypocrites, as it is written,’ this people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me’.” These religious leaders of Jesus’ day were, indeed, hypocrites. They substituted outward acts or words for proper inner attitudes that come from being born of God and the Spirit (See Matt 5:20, 27,28; 6:1-7; Jn 1:13; 3:3-6). This plague is killing souls left and right today. We might call this “hypocrisy” plague the “leaven of the Pharisees” (Mk 8:15). The hypocrisy of the adversaries consist in the jarring contradiction between what they say and what they do, between the outward appearance and the inward lack of holiness. Their hypocrisy is, therefore, sin; failure to do God’s will is concealed behind the pious appearance of outward conduct. DREAM We had a visiting family here some time ago. The wife had been labeled “Jezebel” by many men of God (she told us this) in times past. My wife had only phone/e-mail contact with this woman (who claims to be very “spiritual”) over a period of about 6 years. When she finally came to our community (NT Ekklesia), right away she manifested. In two days time, I was a devil and my wife (Gen. Deborah) was a devil and our whole camp was of the devil. Well this came as no surprise for we have had many “spiritual” ladies in our camp before - all claiming to be “special” to God! After several weeks had gone by and she and her family returned to their home back east, my wife had this dream: this lady was conversing with her, saying the right things (spiritually speaking). My wife told me that she had no make-up on her face (our female soldiers wear no make-up or jewelry or pants etc.), indicating she was like an ACMTC female soldier, BUT, my wife exclaimed, she was completely naked with her legs open. What do you think that meant? Looking pious, saying spiritual things, but opened up for unclean action! Later on we heard from the husband who said that Ms Jezebel physically attacked him savagely! Now (as I write, and this may change), she wants to divorce this man because he won’t bow to her “spirituality”. JEZEBEL STATUS What we have seen (and know!) is that those who LACK true humility and spirituality, and refuse to achieve it by DYING TO SELF!, pretend to have it. It is an ACT. Their hypocrisy will be their RUIN!!! Sham “Christians” will eventually face the judgments of God IF they do not repent. Look at all these mega-church-stars we have today. The women are certainly Jezebels and the men are emasculated Ahabs (there are exceptions, thank God!). These cunning make-believe hypocrites will face the damnation of hell-fire IF they do not repent. The Spirit of God is, as I write, unmasking these liars and deceivers. Their role (play-acting) typifies the Jezebelian/Pharisee HUBRIS. Some believe that there is premeditated hypocrisy, e.g., culpable tactical hypocrisy, and there is the type that is used without malice intended. I think the Jezebel spirit can be divided up also- lesser to greater. There are those who make deceitfulness a way of life. One pastor/author has said:, “Without question, the nastiest, evil, most disgusting, cunning, and seductive spirit in Satan’s hierarchy has to be the “Jezebel spirit”. Personally, I have met those (usually female) who fit this description; others are less mean-spirited, nevertheless, Jezebelian. This same pastor/author also states: “Many believe that this type of spirit may be Satan’s smartest most cunning and evil spirit he has, and he thus dispatches this kind of spirit on specific targets so he can get the most bang for his buck.” “Simply put, a Jezebel spirit is one of Satan’s higher-ranking, more intelligent demons, if not the smartest kind of demon he has in his kingdom. And with it being much more intelligent that many of the lower-ranking demons will be, this makes this type of spirit much more evil, cunning, and harder to deal with once it moves in and attaches to a person.” “And with this kind of evil spirit being much more cunning, intelligent, and evil than some of the other lower-ranking demons will be, it will cause a lot more trouble and destruction if it is not quickly dealt with and cast out.” What I have found (in those “Christian” Jezebels) is that these demonized women (some men) used “feigned love”, which assumed, deceitful “love”. The dumb will believe this, “love” to be genuine. Be careful. Peter writes: “And through covetousness shall they with FEIGNED words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not” - 2 Peter 2:3. A BIG trait in these hypocrites is that they covet what they do not have but will get it one way or the other. I’ve yet to meet one Jezebel or hypocrite that did not have this spirit working in them. Some more than others, they are experts in greed to enhance THEIR ministries or to increase their lifestyle - even to the point of taking you to court, or character assassination (or physical murder if they could pull this off without being caught!) “Feigned words” is basically lies or exaggerations. Like the lady who told us about her 3,000 facebook friends she taught. Well, meeting this person, seeing what she really is like, she lives in a real fantasy of her “greatness”. She fails miserably as a wife and mother, let alone a born-again Christian. The church is full of this type. The internet world is full of such liars/deceivers/hypocrites. They tell fabricated stories of their “spirituality”, thus, the unwary and sincere person becomes an object of exploitation. They use us for their personal gain. PRIDE/HUMILITY There is of course a “false” humility that is rooted in pride. To counter pride, we must strive for unfeigned simplicity of that which is irrevocable and definitive. Paul says in Romans 12:9, “Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.” We can’t truly love, while playing the hypocrite. Fake Christians have many traits/characteristics. They fake love in order to receive love. What does the author of Hebrews tell us? “Thou (Son of God) hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity...” (Heb 1:9). Hypocrites don’t do this. Count on it! It is not enough to love righteousness, we MUST HATE INIQUITY as well. So, how do we love without dissimulation? (Gk. anupŏkritŏs / an-oo-pok’-ree-tos: hypocrisy; unfeigned)? By letting the Holy Spirit’s fire BURN the HELL out of us!! Hypocritical or pretended love is no love at all (see 1 Cor 13:1). We must ABHOR sin in all its forms (see 1 Cor 6:17). But those who refuse the “sword that cuts” and the “fire that burns” will continue to be a fake, flake, and a snake. What has been attacked and overthrown in today’s Church is unadulterated charity and clarity, unfeigned simplicity, and unreserved totality of the definitive reality of the Lord Jesus and God the Father and the workings of the Holy Ghost (Spirit). The Church has become a dramatized sideshow with worldly music (pornographic) and play-actors acting like the clergy and laity...full of hypocrisy, feigned, assumed, deceitful love... more in love with the demonic rather than the divine. Now tell me if I am wrong!! “Sweet Deceit” is the Churches’ delight; a “Cold Blow” with the “Sword of the Lord” is considered harsh and unloving. Pulpit pimps and pew prostitutes is predominant. Biblical orthodoxy/ethical fidelity is outlawed in many churches and Bible schools/colleges etc. The Biblical Christian message for this mess-age has turned PINK- a twisted and skrewed kind of love now resides. Fides qua creditur is lost, hence heresy and hypocrisy rules: “Speaking lies in HYPOCRISY; having their conscience seared with a hot iron” (1 Tim. 4:2; see also Gal 2:13). The classical Greek word for “liars” carries of sense of liars on a large scale. The “hot iron branding” in the Gk (verb) is kaustêriazô, only used here and once in Strabo. Branded with the mark of Satan! (1 Tim 2:26 = “snare of the devil”). Paul bore the marks of Christ (Gal 6:17). Are you, dear Christian, without the marks of Christ? Oh yea, I forgot, you have your “Christian” tatoos. That is really spiritual! WANTED!!! Christ wants His men and women to be Heavenly-Pure and Morally blameless. He wants them to be “on fire” with a “holy desire”, as opposed to be BURNING with worldly LUST. Let us remind ourselves what 2 Clement 12:2 says in part, “two are one”, meaning that “virtue” and “truthfulness” are ONE. THE JEZEBEL SPIRIT The following was taken from the internet. You may like to ponder the list for insight. THE SPIRIT OF JEZEBEL: * Seeks out other individuals they feel are weaker to control, influence and dominate; * Has an unnatural sense of self-importance; * Requires excessive admiration and attention; * Shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes; * Lacks self control, unable to control emotional outbursts, unconcerned with effecting others; * Exploitative, abusive, takes advantage of others to achieve his/her own goals, manipulative, lies * Totally void of empathy; will falsely mimic empathy to seduce and control their victims; * Jealous and envious of others, yet delusional in believing others are jealous/envious of them; * Defensive and combative whenever confronted about anything; * Fantasies about themselves having unlimited admiration, beauty, power, success, brilliance or perfected worship in love; *Believes that he/she is superior and unique and can only be understood by other superior people; * Has a sense of entitlement; demands automatic compliance with his/her expectations; unreasonable expectations of others, critical when disappointed. HUSBAND DEFIANT If a woman is married and is under the control of the Jezebel spirit, more than likely she will butt heads with her husband continually. I have seen the extreme- physical fighting/ cursing to playing the role of mouse - all to control the husband or family. Not all Jezebels are loud and physical; some are quiet and even use sickness/helplessness to gain dominance. The most common characteristic of the Jezebellic woman is her refusal to be guided and regulated by the husband’s authority (if he is not an Ahab!) Some complain all the day long; others say little but use this to control the husband, keeping him worried that something is terribly wrong with his “darling” wife. I knew a couple, (older than myself and my wife) who were old-time Pentecostals. They lived together in Sacramento, CA but never came together. The woman was your typical Jezebel; the man the typical Ahab. They would come to our ministry for counseling. Neither would talk to each other (been this way for several years. She lived in the house, he in the garage. They refused to communicate). The woman would talk to her hubby only through us - we had to deliver her message to him and the other way around. She controlled the whole atmosphere while the man cowered like a scared lamb. We have dealt with a woman who incessantly found something wrong with her husband, her family: griping about everything all the time in order to get the man or family accede to her persistence in order to “feel good about herself.” THE CURSE OF JEZEBEL Isaiah 3:12 tells us that “As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them....” Even though these words are centuries old, they are aptly descriptive of a largely matriarchal society we have here in America. The WHOLE “Woman’s Liberation Movement” (started in the 60's Revolution and now head of the “Gay agenda”), female dominance has influenced and controlled the social/spiritual sectors of life. This Jezebel spirit has affected the WHOLE Church, State, and Family unit. Men have become wussified sissies who have been systematically emasculated by this “spirit”. In fact, the U.S. Prez (Obama) is a magnified Ahab and at the same time a Jezebel (he is more “female’ than male!). His vile abomination or Obamanation covers this land where the murder of babies and anything-goes-sex rules supreme. And the Church is no better off. Ruled by the Jezebel/Ahab spirit...all professional at manipulating and controlling people... all rooted in witchcraft (priestcraft, prophetesscraft, etc). Many men are gravitated towards a Jezebellian woman. I’ve known some men who have a “mother”/”goddess” as a wife. They are like little boys obeying mom. I’ve known women who literally use sorcery to control, not to mention using her body as a means to control. Directly or indirectly, through whatever means available, attitudes, emotions and insinuations, Jezebel works. I can’t tell you how many marriages were destroyed by this demon spirit. Satan’s appetite for destruction - Christian or non-Christian - is voracious indeed. DEMON POWERS As I said, Jezebel does not always assume a brash, bossy and hostile stance, overbearing and dominant. Oh, no. She may be very sweet yet full of hatred turning everyone against each other. We had one such a Jezebel like this. She literally had families fighting for or against her and her family. Yet she “acted” so innocent! To this day she still play the role of Ms. Innocence although she committed adultery more than once (we know this to be a fact). She went so far as to use the media to do her dirty work to destroy me and my wife and the whole ministry. She used lawyers and the court system, even using things to harass us. Yet she still “played” the innocent role of “victim”. To this day (this was back in the mid 1980s), Ms. Innocence has a fiercest determination (rebellion) under her innocence.” She is determined to HAVE HER WAY or DIE trying! She has become a professional liar, deceiver in order to keep her “innocence” profile. This damned and godless woman had even confessed to her lies/tricks openly yet still pushes them off on the public as truth. This is what we call PSYCHO! (See our PX2 files). TACTICS From strong-arm rebellion to false sickness, to bedroom blackmail, Jezebel is capable of them all. We had one female singer (a very good performer I must admit) that visited our community several times. She did nothing but accuse her husband of not loving her, yet he worked hard (a captain of luxury boats in the Gulf of Mexico) to care for her. She would come up from Mexico and spend time with us all the while running this man down, grinding him down. She was hoping, we guess, to hook one of our many wifeless men here. She wanted to use our ACMTC band members to travel with her (when we had our own militant music to portray “Spiritual Warfare”). She had shared stage with several well-known singers in the past. Well, after bad-mouthing her husband year after year, she finally said she wanted to join-up and drop hubby. When hubby called from Mexico, she literally melted like butter under the NM sun, telling him how much she adored and loved him. It truly was sickening. Off the phone she was the Jezebel that was going to divorce this chump! Well, we finally had to tell this lady bye-bye. She tried the next two years to visit us. We said No! We’re not chumps folks. We extend loving hands to people but don’t push your insanity off on us. Unfortunate is the man who has a wife like that! Wounding a male ego is common these days. FORCED HEADSHIP There is another side to all these. I know men who are abusive towards women (his family/wife if married). They shun godly authority/headship, thus, forcing the woman to take over. Then they exclaim, “JEZEBEL”. While Scripture admonishes the man/woman to submit (in love) to each other, when either rebels, it only breaks the UNION God wants. There are those men who do not understand that their wives have a place in God’s Kingdom besides a door mat! They use (mainly) the two Scriptures we’ve already discussed (1 Cor/1Tim) as a club to beat their counterpart into submission. This is mainly for ministry. In the home, they remind the wife of 1 Cor 11:3 and 1 Peter 3:7. But remember, IN CHRIST both man/woman have equality-(Gal 3:28-“There is neither Jew nor Greek (race), there is neither bond or free (social status), there is neither male nor female (sexual distinction), for ye are ALL ONE in Christ Jesus”). Here Paul removes ALL ethnic, racial, national, social and sexual distinctions with regard to one’s “spiritual” relationship with Jesus the Lord. ALL in Christ are EQUAL HEIRS OF THE GRACE OF LIFE (SEE 1 Peter 3:7). The promised Holy Spirit (Gal 3:14 and 4:6), and the renewal in the image of God (see Col 3:10, 11). On the other hand, within the context of spiritual equality, men remain men and women remain women (see Gen 1:27). Their God-assigned roles in marriage and society remain unchanged ( see 1 Peter 3:1-4; Eph 5:22. 23; 1 Tim 2:13-15). All these scriptures need to be interpreted by exegesis not, as many do, eisegesis. There is assigned roles in the physical and also in the spiritual. Some men want the women assigned to the physical only, denying them the spiritual (see “Women in the Ministry” series). OVER THE YEARS Over the years, ever since we established ACMTC, we have had many women - some married, others not- to tell us that God had a GREAT work for them, so we ( myself and my wife) had to step aside and let it happen. Some of the female darlings could hardly spell their names ! We had one (her hubby a total Ahab!) who thought she was called to be another Kathryn Kulhman (look her up for profile). She nagged us to promote her in order to fulfill this grand ROLE OF HEALER. Well, only a short time later her and Ahab hubby divorced and Ms “healer” fell into oblivion. This same lady had a sister-in-law who also came into the ministry (early 1980s) and was divorced already (with twin girls). She, for some strange reason (Jezebel?) began to rail on us and hate us. We did not do a thing to provoke this irate divorcee. Well, God took care of her, within several months, she died. Doctors could find nothing wrong with her at all. She was judged by God!!! WHITE BUFFALO We had another Jezebel (her hubby a magnified Ahab, who used to be beaten up by his wife), that stayed with ACMTC for many years. We had lots of trouble out of her over the years (she was a Captain when she went A.W.O.L.). To make a long story short, we stationed her and hubby up at the Ute Native American Reservation in Colorado. We eventually had to recall them for the tribe was going to have both of them arrested for child abuse (we suspect that sex was included, for both had been Sacramento gang members before signing up with us). Well, the Utes have a myth that a woman will appear to them (the tribe) riding upon a white buffalo. Our Captain (Jezebel) convinced herself (and a few others) that SHE was the long-awaited woman. Well, (this was in the early 2000s) this “buffalo woman” is now back in Sacramento, CA, divorced, hanging out with bisexuals (we heard she has become a bisexual) and supports the whole GLBTQ agenda. We also heard she is a drunkard plus other sick things. These kind of stories (true) could fill pages and pages. JEZEBEL STIRRED UP AHAB! Besides the Queen Jezebel, there was Ahab the King that was wicked. 1 Kings 21 says that “...there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up (v.25). And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel”(v.26). Elijah confronted Ahab (v.20) by telling him, “...I have found thee; because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the Lord”. Ahab’s “going along” with Jezebel’s trumped-up charge against Naboth, his complicity in the execution, of this innocent man (by stoning him, v.13) enraged the Lord. Ahab had sold his soul for a mere piece of land. Over the years I have seen this “Jezebel spirit” destroy many souls, literally! I have seen whole churches lose out with God because of this “spirit”. Look how whole denominations are “selling-out”to the GLBTQ agenda, political correctness, to idolatrous forms of entertainment and prosperity. It is really sad and BAD!! The people along with the leadership have become more and more foreign to God. They no longer want hard truth (as the Bible declares it) but soft, easy, sleazy! Actually, many in these kind of churches do feel guilty, but one can LOSE his/her soul just as well by remaining quiet. Compromise is a soul-killer as well. One minister once said, “sometimes we discover that silence is golden because it pays profits and popularity”. This is NO TIME, brothers and sisters, to run from the MORAL fight at hand. There is no way to rationalize our COWARDICE by calling it diplomacy, or discretion, or tact, for many and subtle are the ways of selling our souls through silence. Isaiah 52:1 says, “AWAKE, awake; put on thy strength, o Zion...” Wake up sleepyheads, get OUT of those church whorehouses if they are forsaking God’s Word. Isaiah 58:1 says, “CRY aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgressions,...” This is the BATTLE CRY!! We started our publication “Battle Cry” (June, 1983) as the result of what we heard and saw in and among the churches. We decided then and there to make our STAND to STAND for Christ Jesus our Lord. Isaiah 60:1 says, “ARISE, shine: for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee”. But today’s Church loves the darkness and hates the light! One Christian author had said, “More good causes had been hindered by the excuse!” What excuse do we really have? Seeing that God’s Word is sharper than any two-edged sword. There is no way to count the AWOL’s, the alibis, the excuses for desertion. Churches have become corporations (under the vile headship of the 501c3, ruled by Christ-hating men/women) rather than Biblical Ekklesias. We’ve sold out our loyalty to God for our loyalty to the (anti-Christ) State... participating in godless things forbidden in Scripture. Our true guiding principle is to have a sovereign loyalty, a godly hierarchy above all worldly ones. But the price is HIGH!! Christ insisted that we put Him and His kingdom first. Why is it that He has become second, even last? (See Matt 10:37). Are you worthy of Him? Not if He is not FIRST!! We live in a time -right now- when the conscientious follower of Christ runs counter to what the majority of churchites believe and are doing. Who says we have to be one of them? Those of us who chose to deny self and follow Christ TO THE END shall never feel like traitors, selling our souls for others to speak well of us. Let the fakes and snakes go on in their rebellion, their ambitions to succeed in the world, let them stay engrossed in their various religious/worldly pursuits...neglecting to cultivate a wholesome and genuine personal relationship with the ONE who died for them.
